Beschreibung
Martina Anett Köllner was born in Kiel in 1958. After earning a Master’s degree in Roman Languages and Art History, she worked in information technology. She spent ten years in Hamburg and has lived in Bavaria since 1997.
In her second novel, “Bittersweet Punch” (Bittersüße Bowle), the story explores the childhood and coming-of-age of three sisters in West Germany from the 1960s to the 1980s. The burdens of the past, their parents’ expulsion, and their flight from East Germany shape the way for the next Generation and demonstrate how trauma can determine future lives.
A novel that also highlights the differences between East and West Germany.
